The partnership will provide clinical research sites the potential to source structured and unstructured EMR/EHR data for trial feasibility assessments, physician reviews, practice population eligibility evaluations, and direct pre-qualified participant delivery into RealTime-CTMS.

The customers of Aspen have previously seen an up to a three-fold increase in trial enrolment rates and up to a fourfold rise in total revenues on surpassing contracted enrolment goals.

This integration comprises the identification of candidates by searching patient medical records, and clinical data that exceeds typical EMR search expertise, to save up to 66 hours of manual chart reviewing for each trial.

It also includes matched candidate summaries, with elements of the health records of the patients that show trial criterion eligibility.

To precisely predict trial feasibility based on study inclusion/exclusion criteria, population analytics will be used for all connected EMRs.

Pre-qualified and physician-confirmed trial candidates are delivered through RealTime-CTMS to handle the recruitment and enrolment activities and monitor the research journey of the patient.

Aspen Insights CEO Walter Storm said: “With the combination of Aspen Forge and RealTime, we are offering research organisations an end-to-end solution to not only simplify feasibility and candidate identification processes, but also seamlessly integrate enrolment processes and research operations cross-functionally between our systems.

“This helps eliminate two of the largest hurdles we hear from clients: one, optimising which trials are chosen by a site through in-depth feasibility analysis of participant data and two, streamlining recruitment through a single, trackable workflow.”
