Today, 20 May, marks Clinical Trials Day. This year’s theme, set by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), is “Research Rising”, highlighting the heart, strength, and resilience of clinical research professionals who turn determination into medical progress.
Ahead of Clinical Trials Day, Clinical Trials Arena editor Abigail Beaney spoke with Mel Mann, a chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) patient who was one of the first people globally to be enrolled on the Phase I clinical trial of Gleevac (imatinib) in 1988.
