Backed by Arlington Capital Partners, Everest operates as a full-service clinical research organisation with a data-first approach.
Firma DS provides services to biotechnology, medical device, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical companies.
The unit has contributed to over 1,000 clinical studies and more than 60 new drug application submissions. Its work covers therapeutic areas such as hepatology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, and rare diseases.
Everest CEO Jin Dai said: “This acquisition reflects our continued investment in exceptional clinical data science talent and reinforces our commitment to helping clients bring therapies to patients faster.
“From our earliest conversations, it was clear that the Firma DS team shares our commitment to high-quality delivery with flexibility, responsiveness and speed.
“Together, we are expanding our ability to support sponsors with increasingly complex clinical development programmes around the world.”
Under the transaction, a team of experienced biometrics professionals will join Everest’s global workforce.
This addition is expected to strengthen Everest’s delivery capabilities in the Asia-Pacific and US regions, both identified as areas with growing clinical development activity.
Firma DS clients are set to gain access to Everest’s broader global delivery infrastructure, its technology platforms, and its comprehensive clinical development services.
Everest’s full range of offerings includes clinical operations, clinical trial technologies, medical affairs, medical writing, patient safety, and regulatory strategy.
Arlington partner Malcolm Little said: “As clinical development grows more global and complex, sponsors need partners with the scale, expertise, and integrated capabilities to support programmes across geographies and regulatory environments. This acquisition strengthens Everest’s ability to meet that need and support clients worldwide.”
