July 2021 has seen an increase of 4.97% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 4.98% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 63.98% in July 2021, a 10.22% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 12.8% in July 2021, marking a 33.67% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.27% in July 2021, a 16% drop from June 2021.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 8.43% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Bausch Health Companies posted 50 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a an increase of 212.5% over the previous month, followed by Ministry of Health New South Wales with 38 jobs and a 5% drop. AstraZeneca with 38 IT jobs and Far East Smart Energy with 34 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 60% drop, respectively, while F. Hoffmann-La Roche recorded an 83.33% increase with 33 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 54.92% share in July 2021, a 22.28% decline over June 2021. China featured next with a 14.96% share, up 5.56% over the previous month. Hong Kong recorded a 10.24% share, a growth of 246.67% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.7%, up by 4.18% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.77% share, a decline of 27.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.53% share, down 57.41% over June 2021.
