June 2021 has seen an increase of 1.69% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.23% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering an increase of 0.69% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 60.39% in June 2021, a 15.49% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 17.08% in June 2021, marking an 86.54% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 8.63% in June 2021, a 13.95% growth from May 2021.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 89.23% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Far East Smart Energy posted 85 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 28.79% over the previous month, followed by CitiusTech with 58 jobs and a flat growth. Novo Nordisk with 37 IT jobs and Ministry of Health New South Wales with 36 jobs, recorded a 37.04% growth and a 56.52% increase, respectively, while Eli Lilly and recorded an 114.29% an increase with 30 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 61.8% share in June 2021, a 22.3% rise over May 2021. Australia featured next with a 13.03% share, up 111.43% over the previous month. China recorded an 11.8% share, a drop of 2.9% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.34%, down by 1.84% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.75% share, a growth of 69.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.21% share, up 123.08% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.7%, recording a month-on-month growth of 33.33%.
