Germany-based company Bayer’s IT hiring rose 14.5% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.48% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 6.06% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.59% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Bayer IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Bayer, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 67.69% in August 2021, and an 114.63% rise over July 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 17.69% in August 2021, and registered growth of 15%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.46% in August 2021, a 22.22% rise from July 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Bayer

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 38.46% share, which marked a 72.41% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 35.38%, registering a 17.95% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 21.54% share and a 64.71% rise over July 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.08% and a month-on-month increase of 100%. Missouri stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.54%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 37.69% share in August 2021, a 68.97% growth over July 2021. Germany featured next with a 20.77% share, up 68.75% over the previous month. India recorded a 16.92% share, an increase of 100% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Bayer IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.08%, up by 53.33% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.85% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 23.08% share, up 233.33% over July 2021.
