China pharma industry registered a 1.7% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 2.14% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.54% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.01% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.51% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China pharma industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 74.63% in June 2021, a 7.41% drop over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.45% share, an increase of 133.33% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 5.97%, registering a flat growth from May 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.97%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in China IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 21.88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China pharma industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Parexel International posted 19 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 72.73% over the previous month, followed by Pfizer with 6 jobs and a 57.14% drop. Merck with 5 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 5 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 150% increase, respectively, while Sanofi recorded a 20% decline with 4 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.18%, down by 17.31% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.4% share, a growth of 18.18% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.43% share, up 50% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.99%, recording a month-on-month an flat growth.
