June 2021 has seen an decrease of 3.37% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 4.18% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering an increase of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 48.69% in June 2021, a 21.68% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 16.5% in June 2021, marking a 17.17% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 12.88% in June 2021, a 72.97% growth from May 2021.

Top five pharma companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 17.58% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s pharma industry during June 2021 over previous month.
CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. posted 48 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a decline of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by GlaxoSmithKline with 39 jobs and a 7.14% drop. AstraZeneca with 22 IT jobs and MerckInc with 21 jobs, recorded a 42.11% decline and a 22.22% drop, respectively, while Novo Nordisk recorded a 4.76% decline with 20 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s pharma industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 19.11% share in June 2021, a 19.49% decline over May 2021. Germany featured next with a 14.69% share, down 15.12% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 12.27% share, a drop of 15.28% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.78%, down by 24.16% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.74% share, a decline of 0.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.27% share, up 40% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.21%, recording a month-on-month growth of 20%.
