UK-based company GlaxoSmithKline’s IT hiring increased by 4.0% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 5% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7.32% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.56% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by GlaxoSmithKline, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 57.14% in July 2021, and a flat growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 11.69% in July 2021, and registered a flat growth. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 10.39% in July 2021, a 14.29% rise from June 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at GlaxoSmithKline
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 44.16% share, which marked a 12.82% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 38.96%, registering a 66.67% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with an 11.69% share and a flat growth over June 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.9% and a month-on-month increase of 200%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.3%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 31.17% share in July 2021, a 50% growth over June 2021. Poland featured next with a 29.87% share, flat growth over the previous month.United States recorded a 10.39% share, decline of 11.11% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.74%, up by 2.22% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.68% share, a growth of 11.76% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.99% share, up 150% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.6%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
