July 2021 has seen an increase of 1.34% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.69% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering decrease of 0.26% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 60% in July 2021, a 157.14% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 23.33% in July 2021, marking a 75% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 6.67% in July 2021, a flat growth from June 2021.
Computer Support Specialists registered a share of 6.67% in July 2021, a 100% rise over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 114.29% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Parexel International posted 4 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 300% over the previous month, followed by MerckInc with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. DarioHealth with 3 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% increase, respectively, while CytoReason recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in July 2021, a 42.86% rise over June 2021. South Africa featured next with a 23.33% share, up 40% over the previous month. Mali recorded a 6.67% share, a growth of 100% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.33%, up by 35.71% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.67% share, a growth of 700% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10% share, flat growth over June 2021.
