Spain pharma industry registered an 8.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 5.37% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.41% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.22% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain pharma industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50% in July 2021, a 12.5% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.44% share, an increase of 16.67% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.11%, registering a 300% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 8.33%, down 25% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Spain IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain pharma industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
CVS Health posted 8 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 7 jobs and a 22.22% drop. Grifols with 7 IT jobs and ICON with 2 jobs, recorded a 75% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Novartis recorded a 50% decline with 2 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.11%, up by 15.79% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.56% share, a decline of 31.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.33% share, flat growth over June 2021.
