Switzerland pharma industry registered a 5.2% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 11.6% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.25% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland pharma industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.06% in June 2021, a 23.08% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 20.59% share, an increase of 600% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 14.71%, registering a 25% rise from May 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.82%, down 75% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Switzerland IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 53.85% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland pharma industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Idorsia Pharmaceutical posted 6 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Vifor Pharma with 5 jobs and a flat growth. Novartis with 4 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 3 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 25% decline, respectively, while Premera Blue Cross recorded a 100% an increase with 2 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.76%, down by 27.59% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.35% share, a growth of 120% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.88% share, flat growth over May 2021.
