Switzerland pharma industry registered a 6.1% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 3.96% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.79% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland pharma industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.35% in July 2021, a 26.67% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.51% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.51%, registering a 25% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 10.81%, down 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Switzerland IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland pharma industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 14 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 366.67% over the previous month, followed by Idorsia Pharmaceutical with 8 jobs and a 33.33% growth. Lonza Group with 5 IT jobs and Novartis with 5 jobs, recorded a 150% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Bayer recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.16%, flat growth from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.32% share, a decline of 10% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.81% share, up 33.33% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.7%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
