Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 50.86% in June 2022, a 6.67% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 16.63% in June 2022, marking a 21.84% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 15.4% in June 2022, a flat growth from May 2022.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 5.15% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during June 2022 over previous month.
AstraZeneca posted 66 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 19.51% over the previous month, followed by Johnson & Johnson with 34 jobs and a 209.09% growth. Bayer with 29 IT jobs and GSK with 28 jobs, recorded a 3.57% rise and a 36.36% drop, respectively, while Parexel International recorded a 6.9% decline with 27 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 62.35% share in June 2022, a 10.21% decrease over May 2022. China featured next with a 13.69% share, down 3.45% over the previous month. Australia recorded an 8.07% share, a drop of 38.89% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.21%, down by 9.65% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.36% share, registered a growth of 3.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.54% share, up 11.43% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 4.89%, recording a month-on-month decline of 52.38%.
