UK-based company AstraZeneca’s IT hiring declined 13.2% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 6.31% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 7.97% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 0.35% decline over the last three-month average share.

Computer and Information Analysts tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Computer and Information Analysts emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 30.21% in September 2022, and a 93.33% rise over August 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 23.96% in September 2022, and registered a decline of 8%. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 23.96% in September 2022, a 42.5% drop from August 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 44.79% share, which marked a 13.16% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 27.08%, registering a 52.94% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 21.88% share and a 48.78% drop over August 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 6.25% and a month-on-month flat growth.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 41.67% share in September 2022, a 37.93% growth over August 2022. Mexico featured next with a 12.5% share, up 71.43% over the previous month. US recorded a 12.5% share, an increase of 20% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.46%, down by 4.84% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.17% share, a growth of 3.7% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.29% share, flat growth over August 2022.
