Australia’s pharma industry registered a 12.1% drop in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.68% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.46% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.36% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.54% in April 2022, registering a 17.14% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.03% share, a decrease of 15.38% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 16.39%, registering a 44.44% decline from March 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.2%, up 66.67% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 22.39% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 34 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 44.26% over the previous month, followed by CSL with 8 jobs and a 100% growth. Genesis Care with 4 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Ramsay Health Care recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.41%, down by 13.21% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.75% share, registered a decline of 35.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.84% share, down 33.33% over March 2022.
