Australia’s pharma industry registered a 5.7% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 15.17% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.26% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.45% in July 2022, registering a 53.85% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 15.91% share, an increase of 75% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.64%, registering a 25% decline from June 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 11.36%, down 37.5% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Healius posted 15 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia with 9 jobs and a 55% drop. Ramsay Health Care with 5 IT jobs and Queensland Children’s Hospital with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Abt Associates recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.55%, up by 40% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.36% share, registered an increase of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.09% share, down 20% over June 2022.
