China’s pharma industry registered a 14.0% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.41% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.3% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.63% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 90.43% in August 2022, registering a 100% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 3.48% share, a decrease of 50% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 2.61%, registering a 200% rise from July 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 2.61%, down 76.92% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 90.74% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Parexel International posted 88 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 104.65% over the previous month, followed by Pfizer with 5 jobs and a 25% growth. Novo Nordisk with 4 IT jobs and Sanofi with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Bausch Health Companies recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.57%, up by 45.07% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.7% share, registered an increase of 42.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 1.74% share, flat growth over July 2022.
