UK-based company GlaxoSmithKline’s IT hiring rose 14.2% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 14.09% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7.7% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.19% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring in November 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by GlaxoSmithKline, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.41% in November 2021, and a 13.86% drop over October 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 19.85% in November 2021, and registered growth of 85.71%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 5.34% in November 2021, a 12.5% drop from October 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at GlaxoSmithKline
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 52.67% share, which marked a 76.92% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 36.64%, registering a 45.45% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 7.63% share and a 41.18% drop over October 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.05% and a month-on-month increase of 33.33%.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 42.75% share in November 2021, a 55.56% growth over October 2021. Poland featured next with a 22.14% share, down 57.97% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 12.21% share, an increase of 23.08% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring activity in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.96%, down by 26.53% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.88% share, a growth of 62.07% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.63% share, down 28.57% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.53%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
