November 2021 has seen an increase of 4.62% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.85% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2021, registering a decrease of 0.44% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 78.26% in November 2021, a 38.46% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 13.04% in November 2021, marking a 25% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 8.7% in November 2021, a flat growth from October 2021.

Top five pharma companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 100% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Parexel International posted 7 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered an increase of 40% over the previous month, followed by Signant Health with 3 jobs and a flat growth. MMS Holdings with 2 IT jobs and MerckInc with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while Teva Pharmaceutical Industries recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry
South Africa commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 56.52% share in November 2021, a 44.44% increase over October 2021. Israel featured next with a 21.74% share, flat growth over the previous month. Jordan recorded a 4.35% share, a flat growth compared with October 2021.
Mid Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Mid Level jobs held a share of 47.83%, up by 57.14% from October 2021. Junior Level positions with a 34.78% share, registered a decline of 11.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 17.39% share, up 100% over October 2021.
