March 2022 has seen a decrease of 5.08% in the overall hiring activity when compared with February 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 4.41% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering an increase of 0.65% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 45.45% in March 2022, a 25.93% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 25% in March 2022, marking a 22.22% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 15.91% in March 2022, a flat growth from February 2022.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 11.36% in March 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 1133.33% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s pharma industry during March 2022 over previous month.
PSI CRO posted 9 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month. Hypera with 7 IT jobs and Abt Associates with 6 jobs, recorded a 133.33% rise and a flat growth, respectively.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 40.91% share in March 2022, a 35.71% decrease over February 2022. Argentina featured next with an 18.18% share, down 20% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded an 18.18% share, a drop of 11.11% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.18%, flat growth from February 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, registered a growth of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.64% share, down 62.5% over February 2022.
