Spain’s pharma industry registered a 6.7% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.86% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.06% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.62% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.15% in October 2022, registering an 18.75% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.93% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.81%, registering a flat growth from September 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 11.11%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 64.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 13 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 44.44% over the previous month, followed by Sanofi with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Boehringer Ingelheim International with 3 IT jobs and PSI CRO with 2 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while MerckInc recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.37%, up by 35.71% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.22% share, registered a decline of 53.85% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.41% share, flat growth over September 2022.
