Switzerland’s pharma industry IT recruitment activity drops 7.3% in February 2022

Switzerland’s pharma industry registered a 7.3% drop in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.8% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.89% share in February 2022, recording a decrease of 0.75% over the last three-month average share.

 

Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 46.15% in February 2022, registering a 36.84% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.08% share, a decrease of 14.29% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 19.23%, registering a 25% rise from January 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.69%, up 100% over the previous month.

 

Top five pharma companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Idorsia Pharmaceutical posted 8 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 14.29% over the previous month, followed by CSL with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Lonza Group with 3 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 57.14% decrease, respectively, while Incen recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.92%, down by 4.76% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered a decline of 60% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.69% share, down 50% over January 2022.
