Clinerion, Sigmasoft to bring access to global clinical studies for patients

Clinerion has partnered with medical software company Sigmasoft to expand patient treatment options in Greece and Cyprus.

Under the partnership, the companies aim to bring access to international clinical studies for patients, physicians as well as healthcare institutions and new treatments quicker to patients by accelerating trial recruitment.

With support from Sigmasoft, Clinerion will integrate healthcare institutions and physicians in its international Patient Network Explorer platform and expand clinical research opportunities for patients in Greece and Cyprus.

With the platform, trial sponsors can easily bring their trials to patients, accelerating the path to market for new treatments.

Sigmasoft CEO and founder Georgios Stefanidis said: “We are very pleased to partner with Clinerion and assist in more effective clinical research in Greece and Cyprus.

“We are looking forward in integrating more healthcare institutions across Greece and Cyprus in the Patient Network Explorer platform, as well as providing real world evidence data, based on our existing customer base of physicians nationwide.”

Sigmasoft’s e-prescribing and electronic medical record (EHR)-based medical software MedExpress is fully interoperable with the Greek National ePrescribing System.
