US-based clinical software company Iqvia Laboratories has introduced Site Lab Navigator, a suite of solutions designed to automate and streamline laboratory workflows for sponsors of trials and investigator sites.
Central to this navigator is the e-Requisition solution, which allows clinicians to submit requisitions and manage laboratory specimens electronically as an alternative to manual processes and paperwork.
The solution aims to reduce administrative workload, ensure compliance and enhance study performance for both clinical trial sponsors and investigator sites.
Its capabilities include portal integration through Iqvia’s OneHome for Sites single sign-on, real-time tracking of samples made through end-to-end shipping visibility utilising courier data, and management of online kit ordering to reduce waste.
The e-Requisition solution provides reporting time accuracy and guided data entry, which aims to minimise visit queries and streamline subject reporting and database locks by removing data recording errors.
It also offers guidance for online sample collection for simplifying workflows and minimising site burden.
Iqvia Laboratories chief operating officer David Morris said: “Site Lab Navigator and its differentiated e-Requisition solution will significantly reduce the administrative burden on sites and improve the quality and execution of clinical trials for our customers.
“The early response has been extremely positive, with a number of sponsors already signed on including several top ten pharmaceutical companies.
“By equipping investigator sites with cutting-edge tools, we are streamlining workflows, improving data integrity and ultimately accelerating the path to high-quality results.”
