Medidata Patient Engagement vice-president Alicia Staley said: “Medidata is the first company to institute a formal process of infusing the patient perspective into the software development life cycle to create technical solutions improving the overall patient experience.

“We are opening up access to this programme to ultimately make clinical trials an option for more people, including those historically left behind by clinical trials.”

The latest development comes after Medidata and CRO Parexel extended their 15-year international strategic partnership to enhance decentralised clinical trial delivery.

A Dassault Systèmes company, Medidata aids in creating the evidence and insights to help biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostics firms as well as academic researchers to reduce risk and streamline outcomes.
