Medidata has announced that the company is offering its Patient Centricity by Design process for clinical trials to sponsors, contract research organisations (CROs) and sites.

The company will make its Patient Insights Program available under the latest offering that will incorporate a patient-centric approach for designing and developing protocols and technologies for trials.

The programme offers access to varied Patient Insights Board of Medidata, using workshops called design studios.

This will direct in designing protocols and patient-facing solutions to boost trial experiences, accelerate timelines of trial delivery and bring treatments to market rapidly.

More than 20 design studios were run by the Medidata Patient Insights team to offer feedback and insights into the company’s products.

Furthermore, its Patient Centricity by Design is a methodology for incorporating the patient perspective into the life cycle of software development.

Medidata Patient Engagement vice-president Alicia Staley said: “Medidata is the first company to institute a formal process of infusing the patient perspective into the software development life cycle to create technical solutions improving the overall patient experience.

“We are opening up access to this programme to ultimately make clinical trials an option for more people, including those historically left behind by clinical trials.”

The latest development comes after Medidata and CRO Parexel extended their 15-year international strategic partnership to enhance decentralised clinical trial delivery.

A Dassault Systèmes company, Medidata aids in creating the evidence and insights to help biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostics firms as well as academic researchers to reduce risk and streamline outcomes.
