Japanese-based drug store and pharmacies operator Kirindo has announced plans to acquire Medical Trust, a drugstore management firm also based in Japan.

"US-based healthcare service company Owens & Minor has signed a definitive purchase agreement with Mediq to acquire the latter’s wholly owned subsidiary, Byram Healthcare Centers."

The acquisition is expected to be completed by 10 May.

Also based in the US, the target company is a medical supplies distributor to home patients and home health agencies.

The purchase consideration for the acquisition, which is expected to be completed by the third quarter of this year, is $380m.
