Digital transformation in the healthcare industry has accelerated in the last one year as more organisations are adopting new technologies to remain competitive.
GlobalData has conducted a survey to identify the progress of digital transformation in 2020 as compared to 2019.
Analysis of the survey reveals that more companies are planning to adopt digital strategies as witnessed by an increase in the number of companies that are working on their strategy, from 26% in 2019 to 30% in 2020.
The number of companies that have an enterprise-wide digital strategy in 2020 increased to 23% from 21% in 2019.
Further, approximately 20% of the companies surveyed have a digital strategy within their business lines in 2020, a marginal drop from 21% in 2019.
