Brian Dempster
Senior Director, Global Clinical Management
Brian Dempster has over 25 years of clinical development experience, gained across a variety of therapeutic areas and geographical regions. He began his career as a CRA before being accepted to Amgen’s Leadership and Management Program. During a decade at Amgen, Brian held program leadership positions in Oncology, Endocrinology and Bone Health in Europe, Canada, and the US. In 2014 Brian joined Vital Therapies (VTL) where he was instrumental in the creation and execution of clinical development strategy, overseeing the entire Phase II and Phase III programs of VTLs combined device/biotherapeutic system for the treatment of liver failure. Utilizing the Fusion® e-clinical suite in partnership with Axiom. Before Joining Axiom, Brian led the clinical development group at Endologix, where he oversaw the global team involved in the pre-approval and post-market clinical development of Endologix’s products, serving patients with need for abdominal aortic aneurysm sealing and repair. Brian has a thorough understanding of the clinical development process and has used this to successfully bring products to market. Including leading teams through regulatory inspections, in relation to submissions, to FDA, MHRA and PMDA.

Dawn Weagle
Associate Director, eClinical & Project Management
Dawn Weagle has over 20 years of clinical development experience, gained across a variety of therapeutic areas in both local and global clinical trials. After graduating from The University of Toronto, she began her career as a study coordinator in cancer research, crossed over to pharma/biotech in 1998 as a CRA, then proceeded to study management roles in 2001.
Over the years, Dawn has been an industry CRA, Clinical Lead, Project Manager and has gained wide-ranging experience in clinical research. Her passions are early phase oncology, hematology, immunology, pediatrics, and rare disease. She has worked for very small to global multinational companies (both sponsor and CRO side). Dawn has an extensive understanding of the clinical development process and making teams work together productively and harmoniously.
