GlobalData Epidemiologist Report: Global Covid cases pass 33 million – Deaths exceed 998,000

Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 33,138,000 with over 998,000 deaths and 22,952,000 recoveries.

Global deaths are likely to reach over one million in the coming days.

The US, India and Brazil remain the top three worst-hit countries.

The US has confirmed more than 204,000 deaths due to Covid-19.

New hotspots have emerged in Israel and the virus continues to spread in many hard hit areas of the world including numerous countries in South America.

The death toll in India continues to rise with over 95,000 deaths so far.

The number of deaths in India is rapidly rising, and in the previous week India surpassed those in the US over the same time period.

Brazil and Mexico also experienced a high death count in the previous week but still remained lower than the US and India.
