Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 59,888,000 with over 1,411,000 deaths and 38,361,000 recoveries.

New daily confirmed cases of Covid-19 have slowed this week, however, new confirmed deaths have continued to increase.

The US, India and Brazil remain as the three most heavily affected countries, reporting the highest number of total cases and deaths worldwide.

The European and South East Asia regions have both shown a recent decrease in case incidence.

In Africa, although total cases remain lower than most other regions, new spikes in daily cases in some countries such as, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda, are leading to fears of a second wave.

Provinces across Canada have introduced further restrictions as new cases climb rapidly.

Alberta has declared another public health emergency, in attempt to slow the spread of infection and protect their healthcare system.
