Qlucore Supports its Ongoing Expansion with Appointment of New Sales Director
Qlucore, a world leader in the development of bioinformatics software, has appointed Ann Holmberg as its new sales director. Ms Holmberg, who holds an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Lund in Sweden, has worked as marketing and sales manager in the laboratory information management systems (LIMS) sector since 1992, covering the Nordic region for Wilnor and later LabWare Nordic.
Ms Holmberg started her career with development of medi-technical devices for extracorporeal blood purification at Gambro/Excorim, and later worked with method development within chromatography for Perstorp Biolytica. For the last two years, she has been European sales manager for the medi-technical company DiLab, focusing on the pharmaceutical and biotech industry in Europe.
“Qlucore is continuing to expand on a global scale, which means that we need someone of Ann Holmberg’s calibre to support our strategic business objectives in this area,” says Carl-Johan Ivarsson, president, Qlucore. “Ann has the extensive experience and expertise that Qlucore needs to support this sustained level of steady growth, and to bring our products to a diverse global market that is growing very quickly.”
Qlucore is best known for its highly intuitive Qlucore Omics Explorer product, which enables instant analysis and adds increased creativity to research, thanks to the software’s impressive speed and statistical capability. Qlucore was founded in 2007 and has already delivered its solutions to leading research organisations and pharmaceutical companies all over the world.
Qlucore has already gained a global reputation for its leading-edge data analysis software, as it allows the actual researchers – the people with the most biological insight – to study the data and to look for patterns and structures. In addition, because Qlucore Omics Explorer allows researchers to explore different hypotheses and alternative scenarios within seconds, the software is already helping to play a key role in unveiling important new discoveries.
“Qlucore has become a highly respected name in the bioinformatics market, and I am very excited to be involved with the work that they are doing,” says Ann Holmberg, sales director, Qlucore. “With so many biologists, researchers and scientists tackling important areas such as disease prevention, it is very rewarding to work for a company that can help international research teams to conduct more creative research and to achieve truly outstanding results in this area.”
