China pharma industry registered a 4.3% decline in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.18% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.46% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 93.42% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China pharma industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.95% in July 2021, a 25.45% drop over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 13.16% share, an increase of 900% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.16%, registering a 150% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.58%, up 25% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in China IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.73% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China pharma industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Parexel International posted 16 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a drop of 15.79% over the previous month, followed by Pfizer with 12 jobs and a 100% growth. F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 8 IT jobs and AstraZeneca with 7 jobs, recorded a 14.29% growth and a 600% increase, respectively, while Sanofi recorded a 25% increase with 5 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.42%, up by 8.33% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 27.63% share, a growth of 61.54% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.95% share, down 66.67% over June 2021.
