The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.97% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.48% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 0.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Ireland’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s pharma industry in August 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.86% in August 2021, registering a 275% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 31.43% share, an increase of 450% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.43%, registering a 42.86% decline from July 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 8.57%, up 200% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Ireland’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 42.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s pharma industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Eli Lilly and posted 6 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 200% over the previous month, followed by Bausch Health Companies with 6 jobs and a 40% drop. Sanofi with 3 IT jobs and ICON with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% flat growth, respectively, while Johnson & Johnson recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.29%, down by 13.64% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 42.86% share, registered an increase of 650% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.86% share, down 83.33% over July 2021.
