Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 55.19% in August 2022, a 14.63% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 17.81% in August 2022, marking a 7.14% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 11.94% in August 2022, a flat growth from July 2022.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 66.86% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Parexel International posted 108 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 125% over the previous month, followed by Eurofins Scientific with 58 jobs and a 107.14% growth. Merck with 55 IT jobs and AstraZeneca with 37 jobs, recorded a 96.43% rise and a 40.32% drop, respectively, while Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia recorded a 277.78% increase with 34 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 53.62% share in August 2022, a 4.2% decrease over July 2022. China featured next with a 22.5% share, up 43.75% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 10.76% share, a growth of 25% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.1%, up by 3.42% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.33% share, registered a growth of 19.23% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.57% share, down 1.82% over July 2022.
