Germany-based company Bayer’s IT hiring rose 0.9% in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.03% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 6.29% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 0.14% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Bayer IT hiring in August 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Bayer, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.47% in August 2022, and a 9.43% drop over July 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 20% in August 2022, and registered growth of 41.67%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.41% in August 2022, a 14.29% rise from July 2022.
Europe drives IT hiring at Bayer
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in August 2022 with a 38.82% share, which marked a 73.68% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 31.76%, registering a 12.5% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 24.71% share and a 34.38% drop over July 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.71% and a month-on-month flat growth.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 31.76% share in August 2022, a 17.39% growth over July 2022. India featured next with an 18.82% share, down 42.86% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 10.59% share, an increase of 125% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Bayer IT hiring activity in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.47%, up by 17.07% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.53% share, a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 20% share, down 29.17% over July 2022.
