China’s pharma industry registered an 8.8% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.95% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.45% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.68% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry in April 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 82.29% in April 2022, registering a 58% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 7.29% share, an increase of 75% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.21%, registering a 150% rise from March 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.17%, down 20% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 380% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 41 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 1266.67% over the previous month, followed by GlaxoSmithKline with 11 jobs and a 266.67% growth. Pharmaron Beijing with 8 IT jobs and Pfizer with 7 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 250% flat growth, respectively, while Merck recorded a decline of 28.57% with 5 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.92%, up by 6.98% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 31.25% share, registered an increase of 400% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 20.83% share, up 17.65% over March 2022.
