Germany’s pharma industry IT recruitment activity rises 16.9% in April 2022

Germany’s pharma industry registered a 16.9% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 44.89% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.84% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0.41% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 101.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry in April 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.36% in April 2022, registering a 29.69% flat growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.32% share, a decrease of 22.58% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14.5%, registering a 72.73% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.82%, down 44.44% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 80.65% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Fresenius SEKGaA posted 63 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 23 jobs and a 666.67% growth. Bayer with 13 IT jobs and BioNTech with 9 jobs, recorded a 65.79% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Merck recorded a decline of 66.67% with 4 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.76%, up by 30.56% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.08% share, registered a decline of 3.85% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.16% share, down 40% over March 2022.
