The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 87.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry during September 2022 over previous month.

Mediclinic International posted 6 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 200% over the previous month, followed by ICON with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Parexel International with 2 IT jobs and Syneos Health with 2 jobs, recorded a 60% drop and a 100% rise, respectively, while Eurofins Scientific recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during September 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry

South Africa commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 30.43% share in September 2022, a 12.5% decrease over August 2022. United Arab Emirates featured next with a 26.09% share, up 100% over the previous month. Niger recorded a 17.39% share, a growth of 300% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.83%, down by 42.11% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.78% share, registered a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 17.39% share, down 33.33% over August 2022.
