Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 71.43% in November 2021, a 94.44% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 12.24% in November 2021, marking a 40% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 6.12% in November 2021, a 40% drop from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 114.29% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s pharma industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Johnson & Johnson posted 14 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered an increase of 180% over the previous month, followed by Hypera with 5 jobs and a 66.67% growth. F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 4 IT jobs and GlaxoSmithKline with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a 33.33% rise, respectively, while Notre Dame Intermedica Participacoes recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 51.02% share in November 2021, a 92.31% increase over October 2021. Argentina featured next with a 30.61% share, up 150% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded a 12.24% share, a drop of 62.5% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.31%, up by 14.29% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20.41% share, registered a growth of 42.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.29% share, down 12.5% over October 2021.
