Spain’s pharma industry registered a 13.9% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.9% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.46% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.33% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in August 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.23% in August 2022, registering an 18.18% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 15.38% share, a decrease of 66.67% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.69%, registering a flat growth from July 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.85%, down 80% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.41% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during August 2022 over July 2022.

Bayer posted 7 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 16.67% over the previous month, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Grifols with 4 IT jobs and Sanofi with 3 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Centre for Genomic Regulation recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.85%, down by 51.72% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30.77% share, registered a decline of 20% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.38% share, flat growth over July 2022.
