Both companies will retain their names and employees under one combined organisation.

Charles River appointed Morgan Stanley & Co LLC as financial advisor, and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP as legal advisor for the transaction. Jefferies LLC and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc were appointed as financial advisors, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as legal advisor to MPI.

SGS SA has acquired Skin Investigation and Technology Hamburg GmbH (SIT).

SGS provides inspection, verification and testing services, while SIT is a dermatological contract research organisation (CRO). Both companies are based in Germany.

The acquisition will expand SGS’s consumer and retail service portfolio.

Zhejiang Starry Pharmaceutical Co Ltd plans to acquire Zhejiang Hisyn Pharmaceutical Co Ltd in a cash and share issue deal.

Based in China, Zhejiang Starry Pharmaceutical is a pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediates manufacturer.

Citigroup Securities Co Ltd has been appointed as the financial advisor, while Jincheng, Tongda & Neal is the legal advisor for the transaction by the acquirer company.
