Amelia Martín Uranga, Associate Director of Clinical and Translational Research at Farmaindustria, explains why Spain is an international leader in clinical trials. Spain is the second country in terms of investment by the pharmaceutical industry, behind only the United States.
The investment exceeds €800m for 906 clinical trials, in which more than 170,000 patients are treated. More than 60% of the clinical trials are for cancer treatment.
