As the competition for enrolling patients in global clinical trials increases, so does the demand for enhancing the skill set to effectively plan and manage global recruitment programs. Beth Harper, president of Clinical Performance Partners, will facilitate several workshops in October for international audiences.

As the keynote speaker at Poland’s first conference on patient recruitment Harper will facilitate a discussion on ‘Patient Recruitment and Retention Planning and Tactics – A Focus on Site Level Planning and Implementation’. The conference will be held in Warsaw, Poland, on 23 October 2009.

Following this conference Harper will travel to Ottawa, Canada, to participate in the 4th Annual Clinical Training Course sponsored by the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. On 27 October Harper will facilitate two workshops on ‘Realistic Enrollment Planning: Validating Your Enrollment Potential During the Feasibility Assessment Process and Beyond’.

Harper notes that, “Recruitment success ultimately happens at the site. I am honored to have these opportunities to offer practical tips and advice to the Polish and Canadian clinical research communities on how to enhance their site-level recruitment planning activities.”
